Quiet Days

Not all of our days here are full of adventures.  It was another cold, rainy day and after being out in it all day yesterday, none of us were interested in repeating that today.  Besides, there was homework to catch up on...

and laundry to do before we leave for Klaipeda tomorrow - the port town on the coast of the Baltic Sea.  Just to give you some perspective on doing laundry here.  This is the size of our washing machine, conveniently located in the bathroom. I had Jacob stand next to it so you can have some perspective on just how tiny it really is.

A machine so cute and little should have the ability to do cute little QUICK loads.  Right?  Oh so wrong. A load on the whites setting takes over 2 HOURS!!! to run.  I only did 3 tiny loads of laundry and it took me all day.  Then add to it this high-tech method of drying... we all may be walking around naked tomorrow!

But I won't complain.  Waiting for each load to wash gave me plenty of time to finish reading my book.
